An evolution of the RM 001 – the RM 002 Tourbillion was released in 2001. For the first time in watchmaking history, a timepiece with a titanium movement baseplate and a torque indicator was birthed.

The RM 002 manually wound tourbillon is a feat of engineering and technology, creating a closer connection to automotive racing with the inclusion of a gear-like function indicator, prominently displayed between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The function indicator is changed through a button in the crown, similiar to a car’s gearbox. The watch can be set to H (Hand setting), N (Neutral) and W (Winding). The torque indicator runs between 0 to 65dNmm, a reading below 53dNmm indicates the mainspring is too slack and over 65dNmm indicatiing excessive tension on the mainspring.
