RM 002 is the first serial production piece of the brand’s first RM 001 prototype. It differs from the RM 001 by introducing the function indicator and shows Richard Mille’s passion for mechanical innovation.

In a manner similar to a car’s gearbox, a push button allows one to select the W (Winding), N (Neutral) and H (Hand-setting) with a simple push. With this special gear system, stressful forces placed upon the crown are minimised, and any possible interference of the crown’s function with the movement is made impossible.
